I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Chartered Accountants Ireland. Over the following years I managed finance teams, ran audits, and worked with businesses from sole traders doing €80k a year to multinationals processing millions in transactions.

In 2018 I won the Pfizer Innovation Award for work on process improvement — automating tasks that were eating hours of staff time every week. That experience made me realise that most businesses are doing things manually that a system could do in seconds.

I was featured in Accountancy Ireland — the journal of Chartered Accountants Ireland — for my work on technology and business efficiency.

When AI tools started getting genuinely useful in 2022, I tested everything. Not just read about it — actually deployed it in real businesses. I know which tools are worth your time and which are hype. I know what a plumber can actually use versus what only makes sense for a 50-person software company.

I set up Real World AI because I kept seeing Irish sole traders and tradespeople either completely ignoring AI or paying too much for tools they didn't understand. The training market in Ireland was also a gap — everything was aimed at senior managers and executives, with no transparent pricing and no practical content.
